Osmo Wood Protector is a clear wood primer and preservative for interior timbers which are used in wet areas such as laundries and bathrooms. It is also recommended for use as a sealer on timber kitchen benchtops, prior to finishing with Top Oil, however, it's use will darken the timber slightly.
While the use of this product is not essential, it is recommended for wet areas. Wood Protector's wax content will help to seal the timber's surface and stop watermarking, prior to applying one or two top coats of your chosen Osmo finish.
Osmo Wood Protector is also recommended for use on timbers which are susceptible to blue stain and mould - such as Pine, Spruce, Douglas Fir (Oregon), some Eucalypts and possibly in some Macrocarpa - which are being used in areas where moisture and high humidity are present, such as bathrooms, laundries, saunas and on interior timber window frames and sills etc.
Wood Protector is biocide free, and is suitable for use on children's toys and playground equipment. It is based on natural oils and waxes, and is extremely water repellant. Only one coat is required, followed by one or two coats of Polyx Oil.

Oils are heavy and expensive to transport around the country - especially across Cook Strait.
For the most efficient and quickest shipping, we use NZ Couriers which is an overnight delivery service throughout NZ (except rural). Freight charges on the web site are based on NZ Couriers pricing per package delivered to your door.
If you would prefer a cheaper freight option, we can use Castle Parcels for long haul and inter island deliveries. Delivery time is generally 3-4 business days. Please phone our office on 09 575 9849 for a Castle Parcels freight quote if you would prefer to use this service.
Orders can be collected from Natural Oils' warehouse at 218H Marua Road, Mt Wellington, Auckland. Warehouse hours are variable, but are generally 9:00am - 2:00pm weekdays. Please phone (09) 575 9849 before calling, to ensure the warehouse will be open when you wish to collect.
Goods are generally shipped to the buyer on same, or next business day via “Track and Trace” couriers. Courier costs are calculated on the weight, number of packages and destination of the order.
Orders are shipped from Auckland. Delivery is in most instances overnight. Rural deliveries will generally take an extra day. Where goods are shipped inter island, the seller cannot be held responsible for delays in transit over Cook Strait. Bad weather can delay ferry sailings and add 1 or 2 days to the normal delivery time.
Shortages, Damages or Loss in Transit
